Legendary Tennessee women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt died early Tuesday morning, five years after being diagnosed with early onset dementia in the form of Alzheimer’s.

There are so many records and accolades that will forever be associated with her storied career — like never having a losing record in 38 seasons and winning eight national championships. But there’s one incredible statistic that might be more remarkable than any other.
