Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright threw a complete game in Boston’s 7-2 win over the Orioles on Monday. And after seeing his knuckleball to Chris Davis, it all makes sense.

Wright tossed 122 pitches in the game, but this pitch was completely and utterly unhittable. There was literally nothing Davis could do about it, which was bad news for him because Wright made Davis look silly.

Watch this pitch and try not be amazed. It’s even better in slow motion.

Baseballs are not supposed to do that. It was such an insane knuckleball that it crossed up Ryan Hanigan, who couldn’t make the catch.

Wright improved to 5-4 with a 2.45 ERA on the season.
