Muhammad Ali first beat Liston for the heavyweight crown in 1964, but it was the second find that cemented his legacy in boxing history.

After months of talk that Ali wasn’t a worthy champ, he stepped into the ring  for the second time with Liston on May 25th, 1965 and administered one of the most iconic knockouts of all time. The fight lasted just 132 seconds, the punch he landed was so sudden that a debate still rages on over whether Liston took a dive.

It also led to one of the most iconic sports pictures ever.
