Bill Walton borrows Cal band member's glockenspiel and plays it mid-broadcast

Bill Walton aka the most interesting sportscaster alive had another classic moment on Thursday night while working the Cal-Oregon game with Dave Pasch.

He took an instrument from Cal’s band — a glockenspiel of all instruments — and played it live on air. Walton informed viewers that glockenspiel is a German name. The band didn’t seem to mind, and the student who owned the instrument looked ecstatic, even giving a shoutout to his mom.

Then, Walton says that the band member’s bear hat is actually a beaver because it’s too small to be a bear.

Would you expect anything less on a Keep It Weird night?

Pasch knew of the occasion too, so if he sounded annoyed, it was most likely all in good fun.

Never change, Bill Walton.
