Yum or yuck? McDonald’s Japan to sell chocolate-covered fries

McDonald’s Japan is putting a new spin on French fries with the new McChocho Potato.

In a move that may remind many of dipping their fries in a chocolate shake, McDonald’s Japan is smothering French fries in two chocolate sauces.

You read that right, the McChoco Potato is drenched with chocolate sauce and white milk chocolate.

Because two is always better than one, right?

“The combination creates a wonderful salty and sweet harmonious taste,” according to a statement from McDonald’s.

The fries will be available across Japan beginning Jan. 26.

This isn’t the first time McDonald’s Japan has put a new spin on French fries. In the past, the chains offered Shaka Shaka Potato fries, which were covered with cheese sauce or bacon.

On social media, the reaction to the chocolate fries was mixed, though some said they were ready to move to Japan to get their hands on the McChoco Potato.
