Lindsey Vonn says she still loves Tiger Woods

In a recent interview with Christina Macfarlane on CNN, Lindsey Vonn admitted that she still has a special place in her heart for Tiger Woods. The 31-year-old skier is in Vail, Colorado for the upcoming World Ski Championships, and said as much to the Alpine Edge host on Friday.

“I mean, I loved him and I still love him. I had an amazing three years with him but, you know, sometimes things just don’t work out and unfortunately it didn’t work out for us. I don’t have any regrets and I think we’re both in a pretty good place.”

The two met at a 2012 charity event and dated for three years before a pretty public but mutual split last May. You could take Vonn’s admission and mine out some sort of hope for a Vonn-Woods reunion, because what a story that would be.

On the other hand, this sounds suspiciously like the awkward post-breakup coffee date where he/she/whoever lets the air out of your balloon by telling you that they do love you, it’s just that, you know, they’re not in love with you, and they “wish you all the best.”
