Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are coming together to sing and dance onscreen in a musical comedy, according to a release from Universal Studios.

Universal has acquired the film in what the release calls a "competitive situation."

Screenwriter Michael Bacall, who came up with the original idea with Gordon-Levitt, will write the screenplay.
