Want to make a bet on what happened to payments app Venmo Sunday night?
As the end of Super Bowl 50 neared, with the Denver Broncos securing victory over the Carolina Panthers, Venmo tweeted its payments service experienced some slowness with processing.
Roughly two hours or so later, Venmo was back up and running.
If you're not familiar with Venmo, it's a peer-to-peer payments app, where users can send cash directly to friends. Convenient for, say, quickly paying off a bet following the results of a certain big sporting event.
Venmo won't say what caused the crash, but many users on Twitter had their own theory.
