Eli Manning explains that look on his face at Super Bowl 50 when the Broncos scored

There was a moment during Super Bowl 50 where the broadcast showed a reaction shot of the Manning family box toward the end of the game just after the Denver Broncos scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Everyone was wildly cheering … except for Eli.

That shot of sad Eli took off on social media. TMZ posted a video of a cameraperson who caught up with the QB at the airport and asked him what was going on — why wasn’t he cheering for Peyton?

Eli just didn’t want to celebrate too early.

“I was just focused on him going for two. The defense had to step up and make some stops.”

Then, Eli was asked what if he thought the memes about him were funny. He was a good sport.

“Yeah, it’s all good stuff.”
