Raptors GM Masai Ujiri fires up fans with pregame expletive for the second year in a row

Nearly one year ago to the day, Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri stood outside the Air Canada Centre and shouted “[expletive] Brooklyn” before Game 1 of the Nets-Raptors series. Ujiri apologized at halftime of that game and said he was simply trying to get fans fired up. He was fined $25,000 after the incident.

Ujiri was at it again Saturday in Maple Leaf Square, but this time his target was 37-year-old Wizards forward Paul Pierce. Pierce said earlier in the week that Toronto lacks an “it” factor that certain contenders possess. Ujiri isn’t worried about “it.”

“We don’t give a [expletive] about ‘it.'”

Once the game started, Raptors fans chanted “Paul Pierce sucks.”
