Jeff Bridges' Super Bowl ad may put you to sleep

Jeff Bridges snoozes.

Warning: This might make you nod off.

Because that's the goal.

Jeff Bridges has put together an album, called Jeff Bridges Sleeping Tapes. It's filled with "intriguing sounds, noises and other things to help you get a good night's rest," he says.

The music even put him to sleep. "While working on the Sleeping Tapes album we put in some long hours," Bridges tells the Wall Street Journal. "Listening back to our day's works, I'd often drift off. I'd wake up and smile saying, 'This stuff works.'"

To launch the album, Bridges teamed with Squarespace, which will run a 30-second ad during the first half of the Super Bowl game on Sunday.

"His voice is like oak and leather and cigar smoke and the wilderness," says David Kolbusz of Wieden+Kennedy, the ad company responsible for the campaign told The Verge.

You can download it on his Dreaming With Jeff website.

Bridges isn't doing it for the money, apparently. According to the site, "100% of the retail price from each album sold goes directly to No Kid Hungry, excluding shipping and service fees. So you'll get a good night's rest knowing that when you download the album, or pick up the LP or cassette, you're helping end childhood hunger in America."
