There have long been rumors that Yasiel Puig’s superior baseballing ability is the result of a freak accident involving gamma ray technology and a toxic waste spill.

The details surrounding Puig’s origin story are hazy at best, however, this clip provides further evidence that the Dodgers outfielder is indeed a superhuman.

After striking out in the bottom of the 3rd inning Tuesday night against Padres pitcher Ian Kennedy, Puig displayed his displeasure by slamming his helmet. But the helmet had other plans, ricocheting back at Puig.

A common man would not have been able to react in time to prevent a dangerous – potentially fatal disaster from occurring.

Of course, Puig is no ordinary man.
