The ultimate craft beer bracket championship

craftbrewerybracket_final

Nearly 40,000 votes were cast in the Final Four of For The Win’s ultimate craft beer bracket. Over the course of the week, we’ve eliminated 30 of the best craft breweries in the United States, and now we have reach the championship round.

No. 2 Founders comes out of the Midwest Region, having topped Bell’s, Great Lakes, and Jolly Pumpkin. The Grand Rapids brewer squared off against California powerhouse Stone Brewing in the Final Four and came out on top with a decisive victory. Now, equipped with a breakfast stout that tastes like sunshine and an IPA of legend, Founders will face perhaps the most difficult opponent of the tournament in Southern Tier.

In the East Region, No. 5 Southern Tier has been an underdog throughout the tournament. The Lakewood, N.Y., brewery overcame the Alchemist in the opening round before pulling off two shocking victories over Dogfish Head and Victory. In the Final Four, the people behind Choklat – one of the tastiest imperial stouts – overcame Georgia power Terrapin.

And now, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for since Monday, when this became a thing. The two greatest craft breweries in the U.S. as voted by our readers in an action-packed grand finale.

Founders. Southern Tier. Two breweries enter and but only one will become the ultimate craft beer bracket champion.

Voting has CLOSED.

Congratulations to Southern Tier!
