Kings forward Jarret Stoll arrested on drug charges
Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll was arrested on Friday night in Las Vegas on suspicion of possession of drugs.
Stoll was arrested at the MGM Wet Republic pool on suspicion of possession of cocaine and Ecstacy, police confirmed to CBS Las Vegas. Police also told CBS that NHL security had been notified of the incident.
Late Friday, the Kings released a statement on the arrest via the team's website.
"We are aware of police reports out of Clark County, Nevada regarding Jarret Stoll. Our organization is concerned and has begun conducting a thorough internal investigation. While we continue to actively gather facts, we are withholding further comment at this time."
Stoll, 32, was traded to the Kings from the Edmonton Oilers in 2008. He won two Stanley Cups with the team in 2012 and 2014.
