SAN JOSE — You know Martha Stewart loves to cook and decorate. But did you realize she's really into tech? So much so, she brought along her latest device to an interview with USA TODAY. Would you believe it's a drone?

DRONES

"This is my newest little toy, a Parrot AR Drone 2.0, with a (GoPro) camera attached. I like to see aerial views of my properties, at different different times of the year. Right now, with the autumnal colors, it's really pretty." She'll be taking it to her home in Maine soon to get "good high-altitude pictures, at 400-600 feet. I have very tall trees there, and you have to do it on a non-windy day. Windy days are not kind to drones."

THE iPHONE 6 PLUS

Stewart says she's always "interested in the new and different" and thus added the iPhone 6 Plus — the largest iPhone ever at 5.5 inches — to her collection.

She says she doesn't like looking at tiny screens. "I'm visual. I want to see big pictures. If I watch a film, it can't be on anything smaller than the 6 Plus."

ALSO: 2 iPADS

"I do research on one, and type on the other. I can type faster on the iPad. It's all about ease for me."

HER LATEST CAMERA

She just bought the new Leica T, a compact professional-quality camera with a rubber strap. "I love it," she says.

CARS

She has her eye on a Tesla, but "I'm waiting for the Tesla SUV. The Tesla is beautiful, but I can't commute in it; it's too small." She drives a GMC SUV.

APPS

Stewart's current favorite is the same one your teens have fallen in love with, the one with the disappearing photos: Snapchat.

"We're using Snapchat now. It's kind of fun. Nothing bad, nothing erotic, nothing unusual, don't worry." Who is Martha Stewart sending Snapchats to? "Certain people," she says, leaving it at that.
