Protesters in Hong Kong gathered last week to demonstrate against the Chinese government and the desire for a democracy. U.S. citizen and Your Take contributor Becky Peterson says she entered the protest with great emotion as she captured the "peaceful and well-organized" movement that has come to be known as the "Umbrella Revolution."

On Oct. 1, the 65th anniversary of communist rule in China (also known as National Day), protesters took to the streets in a call for a democratic government.
