'11/22/63' by Stephen King.

Author Stephen King's best-selling novel 11/22/63 will be coming to Hulu.

The streaming site announced a nine-hour event series order based on the book today. J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions, known for Alias, Lost, Fringe, Person of Interest and other shows, will be collaborating with King to produce the series for Hulu along with executive producer/writer Bridget Carpenter and Warner Bros. Television. The premiere date has not been announced.

Released in 2011 and published by Scribner, the thriller involves high school teacher Jake Epping traveling back in time to prevent the assassination of President Kennedy. Lee Harvey Oswald threatens Epping's mission, and there are obstacles (and romance) along the way.

The king of horror stories and the director of Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Wars: Episode VII have a high praise for each other.

"If I ever wrote a book that cries out for long-form, event TV programming, 11/22/63 is it," King, who is executive producer of the CBS series Under the Dome, said in a statement. "I'm excited that it's going to happen, and am looking forward to working with J.J. Abrams and the whole Bad Robot team."

"I've been a fan of Stephen King since I was in junior high school," Abrams said in a statement. "The chance to work with him at all, let alone on a story so compelling, emotional and imaginative, is a dream. We are thrilled to be working with Hulu on this very special project."
