Day 1. Rose apple pie.
Your Take contributor Brianna Schenkelberg combined a Pinterest and a European recipe to make this Rose apple pie, with a sweet and crumbly crust. Secret ingredients: Fuji apples and a delicious sugary filling.
Day 2. Pumpkin flan.
Jessica van Dop DeJesus, from Puerto Rico, doesn't use a recipe for her dessert that walks the line between "Latin and America." I usually "eyeball it," she says.
Day 3. Karl's pecan pie.
There's no official recipe for this masterpiece either, according to Karl Lopez. It's just pecans, crumbly stuff and filling. All you need is a fork.
Day 4. Buttermilk cookies
Michiale Schneider does a neighborhood cookie exchange each year. She says her buttermilk cut-outs are yummy and fun to make.
Day 5. Fresh ginger cake
This scrumptious delight is made with molasses, cloves and cinnamon, but Sangeeta Dey likes to spice things up by adding more ginger. She says it helps make the flavor more robust. Um, yum.
Day 6: Randee's iced sugar cookies
Lynn Cross Krizic met a woman named Randee at an antique show more than 25 years ago. Within minutes of spending time at her booth, Krizic knew they were destined to be friends. Not only did Randee share words of wisdom, but her iced sugar cookie recipe, Krizic says. The cookies continue to sweeten the bond between the two bakers.
Day 7: One-bowl chocolate cake
Jessica van Dop DeJesus used Martha Stewart's recipe for this irresistible one-bowl chocolate cake. However, the idea to decorate it with rosemary and cranberries was an original one.
Day 8: Mickey Mouse cookies
Chris Taylor is a huge Disney fan and says he makes something Mickey-related every year. This year, he made this batch of cookie magic for a Christmas Sweet Swap. He says all it took was a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter. For Mickey's pants, he used red dipping chocolate and M&M minis.
Day 9: Gingerbread men
It's Bake Cookies Day and, boy, do we have a sweet treat to mark the day. Louis Whittaker made these gingerbread men for his best friend in Montreal. Hint: The secret to that face and those buttons is really in the homemade Royal Icing.
Day 10: Strawberry short-cupcakes
Cupcakes are Tanisha Ragland's specialty. She says her go-to ingredient for these 20-minute Strawberry short-cupcakes is vanilla pudding, which makes them moist. Ragland also says this photo captures one of the things she enjoys doing most. Only thing missing is the messy kitchen in the background. Wehear you, Tanisha!
Day 11: Vegan reindeer cupcakes
Stephanie Bost whipped up this batch of artic treats based on a basic recipe from Chow.com. She says she got the idea for the reindeer from Pinterest.
Day 12: 'Tis the season for pie!
To mark the final day of "12 Days of #YourBake," we bring you two treats: a spicy pumpkin pie and Chocolate French Silk pie. When it comes to Cat Harper's family, both desserts are in high demand during the holiday season.
