Luxury line Silversea's expedition ship in the Galapagos has emerged from a major, month-long makeover.

The overhaul of the 100-passenger Silver Galapagos brought a complete revamp of cabins and corridors, and new decor for the ship's Explorer Lounge.

The Silver Galapagos already had undergone an initial refurbishment last year when it began sailing for Silversea that included the installation of new marble bathrooms in cabins, a new fitness center, massage room, beauty salon, outdoor Jacuzzi, and a version of the line's signature outdoor dining venue, The Grill.

The Silver Galapagos alternates between a seven-night Western Itinerary that traces a path across the western, southern and eastern islands of the Galapagos, and a seven-night North Central Itinerary that encompasses northeast, central and southeast islands.

The western itinerary features stops in Santiago, Bartolomé, Isabela, Fernandina, Floreana, San Cristóbal and Santa Cruz. The north central itinerary includes stops in Santa Cruz, Genovesa, Seymour Norte, San Cristóbal, Española, and Plazas Sur.

Both itineraries begin and end at the Galapagos' Baltra Island on Saturdays. Fares for the voyages start at $5,450 per person, based on double occupancy.
