After news broke that Ray Rice’s indefinite suspension was overturned, his former teammates were among the first to tweet their support.

Smith’s support for Rice isn’t surprising. In a press conference earlier this week, when asked about Rice’s possible reinstatement Smith said that the two still spoke. “That’s my boy … I don’t like what he did, but I don’t hate him. I think that right now whatever happens with him, he’ll take the punishment or whatever they hand out. But I hope he gets a second chance.”
