Decemberists announce first U.S. tour in three years
Following the release of their new album, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World next January, the Decemberists have a string of shows that includes the group's first North American tour in three years.
The tour's U.S. leg will begin March 21 with a hometown show at Keller Auditorium in Portland, Ore., and end April 13 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.The group will play two nights at the House of Blues in Boston and at The Tabernacle in Atlanta.
What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World, the band's first album since 2011's The King Is Dead, is set for a Jan. 20 release. The album's first single, Make You Better, is currently No. 15 on USA TODAY's Triple A airplay chart.
On Nov. 28, the band will released a limited-edition Record Store Day 7-inch single of Make You Better backed with an exclusive B-side called Fits and Starts.
