Snapchat unveils Discover for news

Snapchat users will find a lot more news in their messaging feeds.

The app added a Discover feature where users can explore videos and stories from media outlets including CNN, ESPN and Yahoo News.

Stories in Snapchat boast a combination of video, graphics and text. In a statement introducing Discover, Snapchat says the feature was built with creativity in mind.

"All too often, artists are forced to accommodate new technologies in order to distribute their work. This time we built the technology to serve the art," reads a statement from Snapchat.

Channels are available by clicking the top right of the Stories menu.
