The Furman Paladins lost to Duke by 39 points in Cameron Indoor Stadium Wednesday night, but they really, really should have only lost by 37. Furman went 19-of-56 from the floor (33.9%), and guard Stephen Croone missed three wide opens shots in one truly nightmarish sequence. On a fast break in the second half, Croone went up for the dunk but came up just a bit short, with the rim blocking his shot. Croone’s second try deflected off the front of the rim once again, and his third shot bounced into the hands of Quinn Cook.
