The two spots that are forecast to see the most rain Wednesday are the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast, though some other areas will dodge the raindrops too.

Northwest: A Pacific storm will continue to whirl off the coast, bringing chilly coastal and valley rain and mountain snow to the region.

Northeast: Rain and wind will also soak most of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic on Wednesday, with coastal New England seeing some of the worst weather.

South: Other than soggy Florida, the rest of the Southeast will be clear and dry on Wednesday with mild temperatures expected.

Central U.S.: A front will move through the Plains, kicking off a few showers and thunderstorms from the Dakotas to western Texas.

Weather history for Oct.. 22: In 1982, Chicago saw a record low temperature of 22 degrees. In 1996, 6.5 inches of snow fell in Kansas City, a record for the date.

In 2003, Pasadena, Calif., hit 100 degrees, a record high.
