Trick-or-stream: Halloween's most played songs

All these years later, something evil's still lurking in the dark.

That would be Michael Jackson's timeless Thriller, which was released in 1983 but continues to be the most streamed Halloween song, according to SoundExchange, a digital music royalties organization. Using data reported from satellite and Internet radio as well as cable TV music services, SoundExchange has compiled a list of terrifying tunes that were most played last October.

Thriller handily leads the pack with 200 million views on YouTube and 28 million Spotify streams to date, while runners-up Ghostbusters and Werewolves of London trail far behind. Each have 2 million Spotify plays, with 25 million (Ghostbusters) and 8 million (Werewolves) combined YouTube clicks.
