Photos of Kim Jong Un as a boy released

Never-before-seen photos of Kim Jong Un show the North Korean leader as a young boy.

In one photo, he salutes in military garb. In another, he is smiling into the camera.

The photos were projected on a screen during a concert and televised on the state-run station Korean Central Television, reports The Telegraph.

Kim's face as a child contrasts with the sharp warning from South Korea that their neighbors to the north could be preparing an atomic test.

Seoul defense ministry spokesman Kim Min Seok said Tuesday that North Korea has threatened something "unimaginable" for its enemies.

President Obama is visiting South Korea on April 25.
