He spins, twirls and balances on one leg.

A Buckingham Palace guard is getting chuckles after he was caught on video breaking the strict sentry protocol.

The video, posted on YouTube on Aug. 20, now has more than 2.1 million views.

At one point in the video, the guard kneels and picks up something from the ground. Later, he swipes at a box in his guard tower.

According to The Daily Mail, guards in front of the royal palace are not allowed to "eat, sleep, smoke, stand easy, sit or lie down during your tour of duty." We'll interpret that as no dancing either.

Jail time is "highly unlikely," but the guard will face a fine, a Ministry of Defense spokeswoman told The London Evening Standard reports.

The identity of the guard has not been revealed. Online, people speculated about the motives behind his moves.

"Are we sure the dancing Buckingham Palace guard isn't just Mr. Bean doing a bit?" one person tweeted.

Another tweeted, "One day until #indyref, and already Britain has collapsed into anarchy," referring to the vote for Scottish independence.
