The Kansas City Chiefs announced Monday afternoon that Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry has been placed on the non-football injury reserve list for the remainder of the season, after doctors found a large mass in the fifth-year player’s chest.

Team doctors believe that Berry is suffering from lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. Berry will visit a specialist at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta for an official diagnosis.

Following an official statement by Berry in which he says he has “great confidence in the doctors and the plan they are going to put in place for me to win this fight,” players and teams from around the NFL tweeted out messages of support for the three-time Pro Bowler.

Here is a small sample of that goodwill.
