Obama calls 25 election winners
President Obama called 25 election winners Tuesday night, a little more than half of them Republicans, according to a list released Wednesday by the White House.
The list included soon-to-be-former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., as well as re-elected Republicans such as Sens. Lindsey Graham, Jim Inhofe and Jeff Sessions.
Incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.,said he spoke with the president by phone on Wednesday.
Obama will also be calling other lawmakers Wednesday, the White House said.
Thirteen of the 25 recipients of presidential phone calls on Tuesday night were Republicans.
