Blue Angels pilot Nate Barton takes selfie above Annapolis, Md.

It doesn't get much cooler than taking a selfie while flying vertically in a fighter jet.

One of the pilots of the Navy's Blue Angels snapped a self-portrait with his phone Tuesday midair above the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

Lt. Commander Nate Barton flies the left-wing position with the Angels at air shows.

"#BlueAngels are ready to fire it up over @NavalAcademy #upsidedown!" he tweeted.

As part of the academy's commissioning week, the Blue Angels are set to perform a graduation flyover Friday above the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, according to the Naval Academy's website.
