Memorial Day is Monday, May 30, and businesses across the country are commemorating it by offering discounts on food, furniture and a lot more.

Many retailers roll out the deals for the Memorial Day holiday.

The holiday is about much more than sales, of course, and we join our fellow Americans in remembering those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

But if your weekend plans do include shopping, we’re bringing you a handpicked selection of the best deals and discounts.

●    Ashley HomeStore: Save up to 25% sitewide.

●    Best Buy: Get up to 35% on major appliances through June 8. And through June 4, you’ll receive a free 32” Samsung LED Smart HDTV with the purchase or lease and activation of a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 edge, whether your carrier is Verizon, AT&T or Sprint. You can also upgrade to a 48” HDTV for $250.

●    Birch Lane: You’ll find discounts of up to 20% sitewide May 26 to May 30.

●    Boston Market: On May 30, save 25% on any family meal. The deal applies in-restaurant only, and you’ll have to bring the coupon from Boston Market’s website.

●    Dot & Bo: Take up to 90% off furniture and decor from May 26 to May 30, with new products added daily.
