Glen Campbell moves to Alzheimer's facility

People magazine is reporting that crooner Glen Campbell, 77, moved into an Alzheimer's facility last week.

The Rhinestone Cowboy and Wichita Lineman singer crooner has been open in the couple of years about having the memory-impairment problem. Last summer, he and fourth wife, Kim Woolen, talked openly about it with USA TODAY's Edna Gundersen as he released See You There, his latest album.

At the time, he was active — playing golf six days a week — and upbeat.

Kim said then that the singer had had one dark spell with the disease. "He went through a phase of being agitated and restless," Kim said. "He couldn't sit down. He was complaining. There was paranoia and suspicion. He thought things were being stolen. Our doctors changed up his meds, leveled him out and he's really content."
