There is a creepy fog consuming the mountains at the Olympics

Heavy fog rolled into Krasnaya Polyana, Russia, today, blanketing the mountains. The fog was so severe, the snowboardcross competition seeding rounds were canceled and the men’s 15k biathlon was delayed. By 12:30 p.m. local time, visibility was limited to about 50 feet. As you can see from the photos below, many areas were even more limited.
