Of course Thor and Black Widow were voted Most Dateable for V-day

Here they are, Mr. and Mrs. Dateable 2016.

This is why the God of Thunder secretly calls himself the God of Love and why Black Widow is able to find so many mates.

They are totally the most dateable folks in movies, our top dream couple of 2016.

Movie ticket site Fandango polled over 1,000 movie-goers and asked them some pressing questions, such as who the most date-able stars were from last year's movies.

Naturally, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, both of whom appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron, smoked the competition.

And there were some serious contenders. Black Widow beat out Katniss/Jennifer Lawrence from Mockingjay, Part 2, Rey/Daisy Ridley, from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Anastasia Steele/Dakota Johnson from Fifty Shades of Grey and Letty/Michelle Rodriguez from Furious 7.

Meanwhile her hunky co-star Thor beat out a whole host of his fellow alpha supermales, including Captain America/Chris Evans (who came in second) and Tony Stark/Iron Man (who came in fourth). Now we see the real reason there's going to be a superhero Civil War.

Thor also beat out James Bond/Daniel Craig from Spectre (3rd) and Adonis Creed/Michael B. Jordan from Creed. (Sub question: Where is Jamie Dornan/Christian Grey?)

Erik Davis, managing editor for Fandango, says it all makes perfect sense:

Thor and Black Widow both represent fantasy fulfillment and they are both exotic, intriguing and mysterious. It doesn't hurt that Thor is from another world, seen with his shirt off and has the long-flowing blonde hair. It's very appetizing for people. Black Widow is fiercely independent, strong, and she wears black leather outfits, which isn't a bad thing.

On the classic movie, all-time dateable side the Titanic sails on.

Noah/Ryan Gosling from The Notebook took the top Most Dateable Classic Movie Heartthrob while Titanic's Jack/Leo DiCaprio took second (don't worry Leo, you'll win the Oscar!).

Meanwhile Rose/Kate Winlset topped the Classic Movie Heartthrob Female for Titanic while Vivian Ward/Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman took second.
