The field is a mess at the Super Bowl

The field has been a talking point at Levi’s Stadium all season, and nothing has changed in the Super Bowl.

Multiple players were seen slipping and falling in the first half of Broncos vs. Panthers, including a memorable fall by Peyton Manning that was eventually ruled a sack after the Panthers challenged the initial ruling on the field.

Multiple Panthers players, including tight end Greg Olsen, switched shoes in the first half to try and get a better grip on the turf.

I wish I could say this was a surprise, but it isn’t. This has been happening all season.

Ravens kicker Justin Tucker was a victim of the turf in Week 6.

This problem has been going on since the stadium opened. In 2014, the stadium had to replace the sod twice in the opening weeks of the season. Twice.

Apparently, John Madden has been warning people about any stadium in the Bay Area for years. The more you know.
