Watch: Beyoncé gets into 'Formation'

Well, the rumor was that Beyoncé was going to do two numbers at the Super Bowl halftime show.

We assumed one would be Hymn for the Weekend, her duet with headlining act Coldplay.

And now we have a pretty good idea what the second one will be: her new single Formation, for which she dropped a video on Saturday. (We'd say it's NSFW but not many of you are probably at the office right now.)

So, could one consider this peak unapologetic blackness?

Because if it weren't already clear from the lyrics ...

This verse was recited in a gravelly voice that would make Weezy proud:

"My daddy Alabama
My mama Louisiana
You mix that negro with that Creole
Make a Texas bama"

and

"I like my baby in baby hairs and an Afro
I like my negro nose with Jackson Five nostrils"

Then the scenery settles it once and for all

Honestly, Bey does it all in this video:

She gets into formation in an empty pool

Hangs Crystal Gayle-length braids out of a car

She slays in both standard and high definition

About the only thing she didn't do during this epic New Orleans adventure was find sister Solange's wedding ring.

P.S. Who else but a "Black Bill Gates in the making" could pull off this line while wearing a high-necked corset?
