Teams really have to tread with caution when making and launching alternate uniforms. Most of the time, fan bases and the general public are appalled that a school would ever consider going a non-traditional route. But sometimes, like in Arizona State’s case, the new uniforms are really awesome.

The Sun Devils, whose team colors are maroon and gold, have new copper-themed uniforms from Nike that honor the state’s heritage and “uphold the university’s brand standards,” the school said in a statement. This is the team’s 10th helmet design in three seasons and it might be the coolest one yet with its copper chrome facemask and decals, as well as the copper chrome stripe down the middle.

The rest of the uniform combinations look great, too.
