The son of Iowa State head football coach Paul Rhoads asked the daughter of Iowa State basketball coach Fred Hoiberg to prom. This would have been a cute story in it of itself, but then Walker Rhoads had to go and record a YouTube video asking her. She accepted on Twitter. I feel really, really old.
Now Wyatt can’t…what’s the word I’m looking for here…sing, but he is trying, and there’s something to be said for putting it all out there.
As for whether or not this video is terrible or adorable, the For the Win office is split pretty evenly on the subject along gender lines. All the men on staff thought it was horrible (Chris Chase found it “terrifying”) while every woman on our staff found it cute and charming.
It’s all very fascinating.
