First listen: Robin Thicke's 'Paula'

Robin Thicke will release an album entitled 'Paula' (as in Patton) on July 1.

Robin Thicke's new Paula album (out Tuesday) is described in a press release as the R&B singer/songwriter's "most declarative album yet" — not surprising, given that the title is the first name of Thicke's wife, actress Paula Patton. The couple, who have a young son, separated earlier this year.

The gently insistent first single is Get Her Back. The music video released last week — which features Thicke (and, in separate images, a female model) in close-up, looking intensely emotional — poses a marked contrast to the playfully sexy (and controversial) clip for his blockbuster Blurred Lines.

Other songs include You're My Fantasy, Still Madly Crazy, Too Little Too Late, The Opposite of Me and Forever Love.
