Reader pics: Pippa Middleton takes time for young fan
A 9-year-old from Katy, Texas, had the rare opportunity to chat one-on-one with Pippa Middleton last week.
While participating in the Race Across America bike race on June 18, Middleton and her team made a pit stop in St. Charles County, Mo. That's where Cayman Terbrock and her grandmother, Donna House, spotted the team switching cyclists in a parking lot. House shared the story and photos with Your Take.
Pippa, Duchess Kate Middleton's younger sister, and her brother, James, were riding from Oceanside, Calif., to Annapolis, Md., as part of an eight-person team racing for the Michael Matthews Foundation, an educational charity named for Matthews, who died on descent from Mount Everest in 1999.
Middleton and Cayman chatted about the royal wedding, what Cayman liked best and about the bridesmaids. Then, as the cyclists began arriving, Middleton asked Cayman and House to cheer on James.
"They changed bikes with another team member and got back in their van and rode away, leaving behind a smile from Pippa and a once-in-a-lifetime memory for Cayman and myself," House said.
House said it was an amazing day for her and her granddaughter. "Thank you, Pippa, James and your team for giving my granddaughter a lifetime memory!"
