Electronic Arts unveiled a subscription service exclusively for Microsoft's Xbox One that grants access to a selection of their video games for a monthly or annual price.

EA Access will be available starting today to a small group of players in the form of a limited beta testing period. The service will cost $4.99 a month, or $30 for a full year.

The publisher says players will have unlimited access to a vault of EA titles, although only four are available right now: FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25 and Peggle 2. The company says more games will be added soon.

Players will also get 10% discounts on digital content purchased from Xbox Live, including full games and downloadable expansions. It will also include a revamped version of EA's Season Ticket program, which allowed users to play select EA Sports titles several days ahead of launch. The service lets players check out sports titles including Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15 up to five days ahead of launch, as well as the role-playing epic Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The memberships can be purchased through Xbox Live, as well as Gamestop and Amazon.

EA Access is similar to Sony's PlayStation Plus program, which gives players discounts on titles and even free games for an annual subscription fee.
