Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested on multiple counts ---- including one felony --- after a scuffle with law enforcement outside a Kansas casino on Tuesday night, USA TODAY confirmed.

Randle, who was released by the Cowboys earlier this month, refused to leave the Kansas Star Casino after he “caused a ruckus” at the blackjack table, Fred Waller, an enforcement agent and spokesman for the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, told USA TODAY Sports.

“Security and our agents tried to escort him out, but he refused to leave,” Waller said. “A scuffle ensued and several agents were needed to get him under control before he was arrested and transported to jail.”

Randle has been charged with criminal threats, a felony. (Waller said Randle made verbal threats to one of the agents.) Randle also faces misdemeanor counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Randle is being held on $25,000 bond at Sumner County Jail, Waller said.
