David Ortiz cannot be stopped this World Series. After going 3-for-4 in Game 5, Big Papi is now 11-for-15 with two homers, two doubles and six RBI in the World Series. At one point, he had reached base in nine consecutive plate appearances, tying the World Series record set in 1990 by Cincinnati’s Billy Hatcher.

The rest of Boston’s lineup is batting, well, not as effectively as Big Papi. All Red Sox players not named David Ortiz have combined for just 22 hits in the World Series. That’s a batting average of .144.

The Red Sox won Game 5 3-1, moving within one win of the World Series title. Game 6 will be played at Fenway Park Wednesday night.
