Katheryn Deprill posted this photo on Facebook, seeing information on her birth mother.

The woman known as the "Burger King baby" was finally reunited with her mother.

Katheryn Deprill was abandoned in the bathroom of a Pennsylvania Burger King 28 years ago when she was only hours old.

She took to Facebook on March 2 to ask for help in finding her biological mother.

In the post, Deprill held a sign that told her story and said, "Please help me find her by sharing my post. Maybe she will see this. Thank you."

The Facebook post has nearly 33,000 shares.

Deprill told NBC News that her birth mother had learned about her after seeing a story on TV.

Deprill said she felt "pure joy" when she met her mother at an attorney's office Monday, the Associated Press reports.

The pair met for about four hours and exchanged contact information. Deprill told the AP they plan to meet again.

"We are definitely going to have a relationship," she said.

Deprill is an emergency medical technician and a mother of three who lives outside of Allentown, Pa.
