GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes have signed center Dylan Strome, their first-round pick in last month's NHL draft, to a three-year entry-level contract.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed by the team Monday.

The 18-year-old Strome was the third overall pick in the June 26 draft.

He led the Ontario Hockey League in scoring with 45 goals and 129 points in 68 games last season.

Strome ranked first in the OHL in assists with 84 and third in goals while also recording 40 multi-point games.

Coyotes general manager Don Maloney says the 6-foot-3, 187-pound Strome "will be an important player for us in the future and a key building block for this franchise."
