President Obama showed off his full bracket Wednesday on ESPN. Obama used his signature “Barack-etology” method for choosing his teams, which consists of using permanent marker on a whiteboard while Andy Katz hovers over the president’s shoulder, second-guessing the most powerful man in the world’s decisions.

Obama went big for his 2014 bracket, hoping to do a little better than last year’s 2,080,996th finish. Here are four noteworthy choices from Obama’s bracket …

1. The president has no faith in Virginia.

Obama has the No. 1 Cavaliers getting bounced by No. 4 Michigan State in the Sweet Sixteen. He also showed no love to D.C. area teams George Washington and American, who are both out in the second round of the president’s bracket.

2. His Final Four decisions have gotten increasingly bold during his presidency.

At least two one-seeds have been featured in the president’s bracket since 2009. This is the first time the president has two four-seeds (Louisville and Michigan State) reaching the Final Four.

“Tom Izzo is a great coach … I think they have a great chance of winning,” Obama said.

3. Louisville is the president’s favorite team.

OK, he might be partial to Oregon State in real life since his brother-in-law coaches there. But in terms of bracket predictions, Louisville has been in three of the president’s five Final Fours during his time in office.

4. Obama is not good with the winner.

He’s only picked the NCAA tournament champion correctly once. That was North Carolina in 2009. So good luck, Michigan State!
