The level of play at Monday’s U.S. Open final between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic has been nothing short of staggering. This 54-shot rally on a Djokovic break point should be buried in a time capsule to tell future generations of the greatness of present-day men’s tennis.
Djokovic failed to consolidate the break of Nadal — which was just the second of the entire tournament — but broke later in the set to even up the U.S. Open final at one set each.
Novak Djokovic just won a 54 shot rally to break and I don’t think anyone will be able to tell you how he did it. #usopen

BP: Just regained consciousness after the 54-shot rally. Giant crater in the middle of the stadium. Meteors exploding in the press box.
