Trailer premiere: Preview the new Spandau Ballet doc

Members of Spandau Ballet, as seen in a new documentary about the band.

If you had to choose one song that perfectly exemplified the '80s, you couldn't go wrong with True by Spandau Ballet.

As you might recall, the British band was massively popular back then and sold an astounding 25 million records. On March 12 a documentary about the group's rise (and breakup) debuts at South by Southwest in Austin. Later that night, members will reunite and play their first show in America in 28 years.

Directed by George Hencken, Soul Boys of the Western World includes lots of rare footage, along with the musicians' personal home movies and recently unearthed clips.

I hope the film eventually arrives on demand; keep up with the latest news at spandauballet.com. (And I'll be checking YouTube for footage of that reunion show ...)
