Here's what Tetris looks like played on skyscraper

If you own any piece of technology, from a tablet to a smartwatch, odds are you can download Tetris, the popular matching puzzle game that celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

However, all forms of Tetris seem lame compared to its latest platform: a 29-story skyscraper.

The Tetris Company worked with Drexel University professor Dr. Frank Lee to create a version of Tetris playable on the side of a 29-story Cira Centre building in Philadelphia.

As the Associated Press reports, the game was created using LED lights embedded in the building's glass facade.

"It has been probably 15 years since I played Tetris last on a Game Boy, and it's much different playing on the side of building that's a half-mile away," Philly resident Sam Robinson tells the AP. He was one of a handful of fans who got to play the giant Tetris game. "Everything's happening so quick."

Lee was attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest architectural video game display, which he set last year with a giant game of Pong. No word on whether he broke the record.

The event was held as part of Tech Week in Philadelphia.
