Many colleges around the country seem to be experiencing wireless network crashes, most likely due to thousands of students simultaneously downloading iOS7, Apple's newest software development that was released yesterday.

Students took to Twitter to blame iOS7 for the wireless issues at numerous schools including New York University, Ohio University, Western Connecticut State University and University of Cincinnati.

After Ohio University's network crashed, officials sent a university-wide email instructing students to wait to download the software until the programs were resolved. They are still in the process of determining whether iOS7 played a factor in the crash, the student newspaper reported.

Apple's activation servers themselves couldn't take the onslaught of demand, according to an internal company memo stating the issue.

Many iPhones awaiting activation are stuck in the middle of installation, rendering the phones useless until the server's issues are resolved.
